Why does my cat line up socks every evening?

In my house my cat did something like this too she lined up socks and napped on them like a little throne.

Socks are soft and easy to grab so it kind of makes sense she turned laundry into a nightly routine.

I am not sure what it means exactly maybe a comfort habit or she is marking a path to your chair.

If it bothers you try a cute rug or a toy path to lure her away from the laundry flow.
