That is adorable and a little bizarre your cat must have a tiny sock parade from laundry to your chair.
In my house my cat did something like this too she lined up socks and napped on them like a little throne.
Socks are soft and easy to grab so it kind of makes sense she turned laundry into a nightly routine.
I am not sure what it means exactly maybe a comfort habit or she is marking a path to your chair.
