What’s the best infotainment setup: Android Auto vs CarPlay, wired vs wireless?

I’m in the market for a new-to-me car, probably something from the last three or four years, and the infotainment system is suddenly a huge priority for me. My current car only has Bluetooth, and fumbling with my phone on a mount feels incredibly outdated and unsafe. I see that most models now offer Android Auto vs Apple CarPlay, which seems like a game-changer. As an Android user, I’m wondering if one system is generally more stable or has better integration with certain car brands, like Mazda or Hyundai. I’ve also heard some systems are wired-only while others are wireless, and I’m not sure how much that should factor into my decision. It’s a lot to consider for what I thought was just a stereo upgrade.
