I’ve been restoring this old wooden sailboat in my garage for the better part of three years, and I’ve finally hit a wall I can’t seem to get past. The original keel bolts are completely seized with corrosion, and every method I’ve tried—heat, penetrating oil, even an impact wrench—has failed to budge them. I’m terrified of shearing them off completely and turning a major project into a catastrophic one. I’m reaching out here because I’m genuinely stuck and hoping someone has faced this specific **anchor** problem before and found a solution that doesn’t involve a cutting torch or a massive repair bill. The whole project is on hold until I can figure out a safe way to remove these things without destroying the keel.
