I'm a family physician and I'm increasingly frustrated by patient expectations for antibiotics for clear viral upper respiratory infections, often fueled by pressure to get back to work quickly. I follow stewardship principles, but the conversation sometimes becomes adversarial, eating into limited appointment time.
