Why is seat belt importance emphasized so much, and what are the statistics?
#1
As a mechanic who has seen crash damage firsthand, I understand the seat belt importance from a technical perspective. But I'm curious about the broader picture.

What specific statistics or realworld examples demonstrate the seat belt importance most effectively? I know they save lives, but I'd like to be able to explain exactly how and why the seat belt importance can't be overstated.

Are there particular situations where seat belt importance becomes even more critical, like with children or in certain types of collisions? What would you tell someone who questions the seat belt importance?
