Why is my new phone's battery draining so fast when I read graphic novels?

That sounds rough this kind of drain on a new phone is really frustrating and not what you expect.

Could be normal during setup or a rogue app acting up you may not notice on first days but it should recover soon.

In my own experience I once saw fast drain after a big update, a clean reset and re installing essentials fixed it.

If it stays bad tell support to swap it under warranty dont waste time with a lemon.
