I’ve been taking the same bus route to work for years, but lately the schedule has just felt completely unreliable. I’m starting to wonder if the posted times are even a guideline anymore, or if I should just show up and hope for the best. Has anyone else noticed their usual line getting this unpredictable?

Yeah the schedule lately feels like a gamble I wait at the stop and judge the next arrival by feel more than by a clock.

From a system view the schedule is a guideline not a guarantee delays stack up from traffic and crew availability which changes the math of any given trip.

Maybe you mis read the issue you think the schedule is unstable but perhaps the line itself has got more variability lately?

I am skeptical the posted schedule is anything more than rough dials and the reliability depends on factors outside rider control

Maybe this is not about the schedule but about how you plan your commute to allow a margin so you are not chasing the bus

I notice my mood shifts with the schedule the moment I expect a clock I hate waiting but when I forget it I end up surprised

Have you tried tracking the times for a week to learn the real pattern in the schedule and then decide what to do?
