Why is AI image generation still so hit-or-miss for regular users?
#1
So I just tried one of those AI tools that generates images from a text prompt. I typed in something simple, like "a cat wearing a tiny crown in a sunlit library," and what it gave me was... weirdly off. The cat had too many legs and the books were just blurry colored blocks. It’s got me wondering if anyone else feels like the hype is way ahead of what these things can actually do for a regular person right now.

I hear you AI image tools promise quick visuals but a crown cat with too many legs and blurry blocks shows prompts still need work and patience

Coherence is the real wall with this stuff the image can feel dreamlike not clear sometimes the hype hides that the basics are not solved yet

As someone who uses visuals for stories the system nails mood and motif yet misses precise details that matter for calm scenes

From a tech angle the AI image tools model struggles with consistent shapes and textures when prompts mix fantasy elements the data set keeps wobbling and that shows up as weird artifacts

I get the thrill of it but the jump from concept to workable picture via AI image tools feels wide maybe clearer prompts or a better feedback loop would help

Maybe the bigger point is not finishing a perfect image but using the AI image tool to try out ideas fast the hype could be about experimentation more than final art

Some folks are skeptical about the hype around AI image tools not every run lands and that is fair but you still get a spark here and there
