Hey, has anyone else been completely unable to get past the main menu in the new expansion? I click 'Continue' and it just freezes for a second before kicking me back to desktop without any error message. I've verified the files twice and my drivers are up to date, so I'm really stumped on what to try next.

That sounds brutal I would be irritated too a crash at the main menu when you just want to play is the worst kind of hold up.

From a memory angle it could be a corrupted cache or a patch bug that only shows up when loading the main menu region and not in game

Maybe the new expansion adds a fancy intro that stalls when your GPU is under load and your brain misreads it as a crash

Sounds like you are chasing a ghost the files are fine the problem might be outside the game like antivirus or background tasks interfering with the launcher

Perhaps the real question is not how to fix the crash but what the game wants from you right now does this expansion change the pace or the path so much that continuing is not the point

If you have a moment try running in windowed mode and lowering texture quality maybe the menu loads faster and you can tell if the crash is video related

Consider the idea that a crash can be a sign of a too strict boundary between systems and data not a single fault in the game
