Why does my design tool freeze after rendering a preview?

Hey, has anyone else run into a weird thing where your app just completely freezes for a few seconds after a certain action? I was working in my usual design tool yesterday, and every single time I hit the button to render a preview, everything locks up solid for like three or four seconds before continuing. It’s not a crash, but it feels like the whole UI is waiting on something.
