Why does my cat line up socks every evening while I prep for AWS certification?

Has anyone else's cat started doing this strange thing? || My cat has started bringing me socks and laying them in a perfect line from the laundry basket to my desk chair. She does it every single evening now. She doesn't play with them or anything, just arranges them very deliberately. It's kind of cute but also a little bizarre. I have no idea what she's trying to tell me or if this is some new cat trend.

In my house my cat did something similar with laundry and it made a tiny path through the living room.
