Where can i streamline tool library tracking on a budget?

I’ve been trying to organize a neighborhood tool library on a shoestring budget, and honestly I’m hitting a wall trying to track everything. Some folks just note what they borrow on a paper sheet, others text me, and a few have started adding items to a shared spreadsheet I set up. It’s a total mess already. I’m curious if anyone else has dealt with this scatter of systems and how you brought it together without it feeling too rigid or corporate.
