What should I do if I run into an old friend at the store?
#1
So I was at the grocery store yesterday and I saw someone I’m almost positive was an old friend from high school, but I just completely froze and pretended to be really interested in the soup cans. Now I can’t stop wondering if it was actually them and why I have this automatic reflex to avoid a potentially nice interaction. Does this ever happen to anyone else?

That freeze in the grocery store sounds familiar you end up staring at soup cans and not the person and then you wonder if it was them

Could be you were hoping it was them and your brain filled the gap with a familiar face I doubt you froze for nothing though

I got similar after a reunion thing and I was unsure if it was them or just a vibe from someone similar I left and then felt silly later

If it was them a quick hey later could clear it up or it might just stay as a what if either way not a big deal

Part of me wonders why we overthink it the whole premise of a sighting feels like a soap opera but usually its nothing

Next time try a simple nod and see what happens maybe it will jog a memory or not either way the moment passes
