What should go into a strong game portfolio for job hunting?

Whether you're looking for a job at a studio or trying to attract publishers, a strong portfolio is essential. I've reviewed hundreds of portfolios over the years, and I've seen what works and what doesn't.

Game portfolio building is about quality over quantity. A few well-executed projects are much more impressive than dozens of unfinished prototypes. I've also learned that showing your process can be just as important as showing the final product.

What advice do you have for game portfolio building? I'm interested in what types of projects to include, how to present them, and common mistakes to avoid.
