What should a small garden center post on Facebook to boost engagement?

I manage the social media for my family’s garden center, and for the last few months, our Facebook page engagement has just fallen off a cliff. We used to get decent interaction on posts about new plant arrivals or gardening tips, but now it feels like we’re shouting into a void unless we boost everything. I know there have been some big Facebook algorithm changes recently that prioritize friends and family content, but I’m unsure what that actually means for a small local business like ours. Should we be trying to create more ‘community-focused’ content, or is the platform just not worth the effort anymore? It’s frustrating because it’s still where most of our local customers are, at least in theory. I’m just not sure how to adapt.
