What's the best no equipment home workout routine for someone with limited space?
#1
I've been trying to put together a solid no equipment home workout that I can do in my small apartment. Space is really tight maybe just enough room to lay down a yoga mat. I want something comprehensive that hits all the major muscle groups but doesn't require any special equipment.

I've tried a few YouTube routines but they often include moves that need more space than I have. Looking for suggestions on effective bodyweight exercises that work in confined spaces. What's been working for you guys?

For limited space, I focus on exercises that stay in one spot. Squats, lunges, pushups, planks, and glute bridges are perfect. You can also do mountain climbers and burpees if you have just a little more room. The key is choosing exercises that don't require you to move around much.

I've been doing a no equipment home workout in my small apartment for years. My go-to routine includes pushups, squats, planks, and leg raises. All of these can be done on a yoga mat without needing extra space.

I workout in a tiny studio apartment too. What works for me is focusing on isometric holds and small range movements. Wall sits, planks, and static lunges don't need much space at all.

For upper body, try pushup variations against the wall or on the floor. For lower body, squats and calf raises work great. You can even do seated leg lifts if you're really cramped. The main thing is consistency with whatever space you have.

When space is limited, I create circuits that use minimal movement. Try this: 30 seconds each of squats, pushups, plank, glute bridges, and mountain climbers (if you have room). Rest 30 seconds between exercises. Repeat 3-4 times.

This equipment-free workout hits all major groups without needing to move around. If mountain climbers are too much, substitute with leg raises or more planks. The circuit format makes it efficient and effective even in small spaces.

Don't underestimate vertical movements either. You can do handstand practice against a wall (if you have a clear wall space), or pike pushups. For back, inverted rows under a table work if you have a sturdy one.

My small space bodyweight training program focuses on quality over quantity. Perfect your form on basic movements first. A properly done pushup or squat in limited space is better than sloppy advanced moves.

I work with clients in small apartments all the time. We focus on exercises that can be done lying down or standing in place. Floor exercises like bridges, leg lifts, and various plank variations are perfect.

Also consider using household items creatively. A chair for tricep dips, a towel for sliding exercises if you have smooth floors. The key is adapting your no equipment home workout to your specific space constraints rather than trying to follow routines designed for larger areas.
