As an amateur astronomer, I've been closely following the recent flood of exoplanet discoveries from missions like TESS and JWST, particularly those in the habitable zones of M-dwarf stars. The sheer volume of new candidates is exciting, but it's becoming difficult to discern which findings are truly groundbreaking versus incremental confirmations. For others fascinated by this field, which recent exoplanet discoveries from the last year or two have you found most significant in terms of potential habitability or atmospheric characterization? I'm especially interested in understanding the current limitations of our technology; how confident can we really be about the composition of these atmospheres or surface conditions based on the data we're currently able to collect from such immense distances?
