What pricing method best moves a handmade leather goods store past a plateau?
#1
I run a small online store selling handmade leather goods, and after two years of steady growth, I'm hitting a plateau. I suspect my current ecommerce pricing strategy is the issue; I've been using a simple cost-plus model, but I'm not sure if I'm leaving money on the table or pricing myself out of the market compared to larger competitors. For other ecommerce founders, how did you determine the optimal price point for your products? Did you find success with value-based pricing, and if so, how did you quantify that perceived value to customers? What tools or methods, like A/B testing different price points or analyzing competitor pricing tiers, gave you the most actionable insights without alienating your existing customer base?
