What overlooked Netflix shows are actually worth watching?

Netflix has so much content that it's easy for quality shows to get buried. I'm tired of seeing the same recommendations over and over. What overlooked Netflix shows have you found that are actually brilliant but don't get the algorithmic push they deserve? I'm talking about those shows that maybe didn't have a huge marketing budget or got lost among all the Netflix originals. Any hidden gems on Netflix that more people should know about?

For overlooked Netflix shows, Dark is the obvious choice but it still doesn't get enough attention for how perfect it is. German time travel show that actually sticks the landing. Also Mindhunter - David Fincher's series about the FBI's behavioral science unit. Incredible acting and writing, cancelled too soon. And The End of the F***ing World - British dark comedy about teenage runaways that's surprisingly emotional.

BoJack Horseman is one of the most overlooked Netflix shows. Yes it has fans but it deserves to be recognized as one of the greatest animated shows ever made. Deep exploration of depression, trauma, and celebrity culture. Also The Crown - people think of it as prestige drama but it's actually incredibly engaging historical fiction with amazing performances. And Narcos - both the Colombia and Mexico seasons are fantastic crime dramas.

Russian Doll season 1 is a perfect overlooked Netflix show. Time loop comedy-drama with Natasha Lyonne that's much deeper than it seems. Also The Queen's Gambit - yes it was huge but it's still underrated for how well-crafted it is. And When They See Us - Ava DuVernay's limited series about the Central Park Five that's devastating but essential viewing.

Ozark gets overshadowed by Breaking Bad but it's an excellent crime drama in its own right. Jason Bateman and Laura Linney are incredible. Also The Haunting of Hill House - horror series that's actually about family trauma and grief. Some of the best horror television ever made. And Master of None - especially seasons 1 and 3, which are brilliant explorations of modern relationships and aging.

Stranger Things season 1 was kind of an overlooked Netflix show when it first dropped. It blew up later but that first season is perfect 80s nostalgia horror. Also The Witcher - yes it has fans but it's better than it gets credit for, especially Henry Cavill's performance. And Bridgerton - people dismiss it as romance but it's actually well-produced historical drama with great costumes and sets.

The Last Kingdom is massively overlooked on Netflix. Historical drama about the formation of England that's like Game of Thrones but based on real history. Great battles and character development. Also Peaky Blinders - yes it's popular but still underrated for how stylish and well-acted it is. Cillian Murphy is incredible. And Kingdom - Korean zombie period drama that's one of the best zombie shows ever made.
