What learning path helps a 3D artist transition to Unreal Engine 5?
#1
I'm a 3D artist with experience in modeling and texturing for games, but I've decided to finally learn Unreal Engine 5 to bring my environments to life and create interactive portfolios. I've started with a few introductory Unreal Engine tutorials, but I'm quickly getting lost in the sheer volume of systems like Blueprints, lighting, and Niagara, unsure of the most efficient learning path for someone with my background. For artists who successfully transitioned into Unreal, what tutorial series or project-based learning approach gave you the most practical, hands-on understanding of the engine's workflow? Should I focus on mastering material creation and Lumen first, or dive straight into simple Blueprint scripting to understand interactivity, and are there any specific creators whose content is considered essential for building a solid foundation?
