What is the best way to tell the real impact of a patch with vague notes?

I play a live-service game that just dropped a major balance update. I read through the official game patch notes, but they're written in such vague, generic language that I can't tell what's actually changed. Phrases like "adjusted tuning" or "improved responsiveness" don't tell me anything. How do you usually figure out the real impact of an update when the notes are so unhelpful?
