I'm always looking for new green routine ideas to incorporate into my life. Some things I've tried stick, others don't. What specific routines or habits have you found most effective and sustainable long-term?

Some green routine ideas that have worked well for me:

- Meatless Mondays" - started as one day, now we eat plant-based 3-4 days a week
- Weekly "fridge cleanout" meal using up leftovers
- Monthly "no spend" week where we use up pantry staples
- Seasonal clothing swap with friends instead of buying new
- "Digital detox" evenings with devices off to save energy
- Walking meetings when possible (for work calls)
- Batch cooking on Sundays to reduce energy use during week

The routines that stick best are the ones that also save time or money. Like batch cooking - yes it's sustainable, but it also means I don't have to cook every night!
