What free creative workflow apps help with productivity?
#1
Looking for recommendations on free creative workflow apps that help organize projects, manage assets, or streamline the creative process. Not necessarily the main creative tools themselves, but apps that help you work more efficiently with those tools. Anything for project management, color palette organization, or asset libraries?

For free creative workflow apps, I use Trello for project management. The free version is plenty for organizing design projects with boards, lists, and cards. For color palettes, Coolors is a great free web app that generates color schemes. And for asset management, I just use a well-organized folder structure since most free creative workflow apps for asset management are either limited or not free.

Notion is amazing as a free creative workflow app. You can create databases for projects, track deadlines, store inspiration, and even build simple websites for client presentations. The free plan has some limitations on file uploads, but for text-based organization and planning, it's incredibly powerful. I use it to manage all my creative projects.

For color organization, check out Adobe Color (it's free even though it's from Adobe). It lets you create, save, and explore color palettes. For font management, NexusFont is a free creative workflow app that helps you organize and preview fonts. And for quick mockups, Balsamiq has a free version that's great for wireframing.

One of the most useful free creative workflow apps I've found is Ditto Clipboard Manager. It keeps a history of everything you copy, which is incredibly helpful when you're working with color codes, text snippets, or file paths. It's not specifically a creative tool, but it streamlines the workflow so much that it feels like it should be part of every creative's toolkit.

I use a combination of free creative workflow apps: Todoist for task management (free version), Pinterest for inspiration boards (free), and Google Drive for file storage and collaboration (15GB free). The key is finding free creative workflow apps that work well together and don't create more overhead than they save. Sometimes simple solutions are better than complex ones.
