What foreshadowing analysis have you done that revealed hidden meanings?

I love doing foreshadowing analysis on my favorite shows and movies. It's amazing how much you can miss on the first watch. Like in Breaking Bad, the pink teddy bear in the pool in season 2 foreshadows so much of what happens later. Or in Game of Thrones, all the references to "winter is coming" that take on new meaning later.
What foreshadowing analysis have you done that revealed hidden movie meanings or made you appreciate the writing more? I'm particularly interested in subtle symbolism in media that's easy to miss.
In Mad Men, the foreshadowing analysis of Don's eventual fall is everywhere. The opening credits show him falling from a skyscraper. In season 1, he tells Rachel Menken that he's living like there's no tomorrow because there isn't one.
The symbolism in media like his constant smoking (slow suicide), his affairs (searching for something he can't find), his drinking (numbing the pain). When you rewatch knowing how it ends, you can see that he's been falling the whole time. The hidden movie meaning is that the American Dream he's selling is empty, and he's the living proof of it. His fall" in the finale isn't a surprise, it's the inevitable conclusion of his character arc.
In Better Call Saul, the foreshadowing analysis of Jimmy becoming Saul is so subtle and brilliant. In the very first episode, he's practicing his It's showtime!" line in the mirror. The color scheme - Jimmy wears bright colors, Saul wears dark ones, and the transition happens gradually.
The symbolism in media like the bowling balls (things that knock down what you've built), the sandpiper (something that seems harmless but causes destruction), the time machine speech (his regret about choices he'll make). When you rewatch knowing he becomes Saul, you can see that he was always capable of it. The tragedy isn't that he changes, but that he chooses to become his worst self.
In The Wire, the foreshadowing analysis of the series' themes about institutional failure is built into every season. Season 1 shows the police department's failures, season 2 the port's, season 3 politics, season 4 education, season 5 media.
The symbolism in media like the chess game in season 1 (the king stay the king") foreshadows how the system protects itself at the expense of individuals. The Greek's quote about "we are not keeping score" in season 2 foreshadows how capitalism values profit over people. When you rewatch, you can see that the whole series is about how different institutions fail in similar ways, creating a city where change is impossible.
