So I was trying to get through the Sunken Caverns in the new expansion, and I hit this one puzzle with the rotating glyphs. Sunken Caverns finally clicked for me when I stopped chasing a perfect rune pattern and started reading the room as a tempo. The glyphs rotate in a rhythm that seems to sync with the water level; I waited for a quiet moment between turns and watched which glyphs finally line up with the floor slots, then the path drops.

From a mechanical mind, I treated it like a state machine. Each glyph has three orientations, and only one combo makes the water drop reveal the next corridor. I scribbled a quick table in my head and checked the sequence that matches the floor sensors; when I hit that state, the water paused and a seam opened.

I misunderstood at first, I swear. I kept trying to spell something, like a word or a password, and I kept rotating them to form letters in the air. It felt satisfying when I finally realized it isn’t about letters but about the timing of rotation and the room’s clock.

I’m suspicious the water drop is more atmospheric than mechanic. It’s easy to feel like a timer is controlling you, but maybe it’s just a cue that you should slow down and let the glyphs breathe.

Maybe the real trick is stepping back and looking for a pattern in the layout rather than in the glyphs themselves. The room seems designed to reward patience and lateral thinking, not brute force.
