What are the most surprising James Webb Telescope discoveries you've been following?

I've been absolutely blown away by some of the recent James Webb Telescope discoveries. The images coming back are just mind boggling. I was reading this astronomical research paper about how they're finding galaxies that formed much earlier than we thought possible.
What discoveries have caught your attention the most? I'm particularly fascinated by the exoplanet atmosphere studies and those deep field images showing galaxies from the early universe.
The exoplanet atmosphere studies have been absolutely incredible. I was just reading about how they detected carbon dioxide in an exoplanet atmosphere for the first time. That's huge for understanding planetary formation and potential habitability.
What really blows my mind though are those galaxies from just a few hundred million years after the Big Bang. The James Webb Telescope discoveries are showing structures that we thought shouldn't exist that early. Makes you wonder what else we've been getting wrong about the early universe.
For me it's the star formation regions. Those images of the Carina Nebula and other stellar nurseries are just breathtaking. The level of detail is unlike anything we've seen before.
I've been following some of the astronomical research papers coming out about these regions, and they're finding that star formation might be more efficient in certain conditions than we thought. Really makes you appreciate how much we still have to learn about basic cosmic processes.
The brown dwarf studies have been fascinating too. Finding these objects that are kind of between planets and stars helps us understand the boundary between different types of celestial bodies.
I read an astronomical research paper recently that suggested some of these brown dwarfs might have weather patterns similar to gas giants. Just imagine, storms on objects that aren't quite stars and aren't quite planets. The James Webb Telescope discoveries keep opening up new areas of study we didn't even know existed.
One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is the studies of the solar system's ice giants. Webb has been looking at Uranus and Neptune in detail we haven't seen since Voyager 2. The atmospheric dynamics and weather patterns on these distant worlds are fascinating.
These James Webb Telescope discoveries about our own solar system sometimes get overshadowed by the deep space stuff, but they're equally important for understanding planetary science.
