What are the best multiplayer games for clans in 2025?

Hey everyone, I've been running a gaming clan for about 3 years now and we're looking to expand into some new games. We've played a ton of different titles but I'm curious what you all think are the absolute best multiplayer games for clans right now.

We're specifically looking for games with strong clan support, good progression systems, and active communities. We've got about 50 active members who play regularly, so we need something that can accommodate a group of our size.

I've been checking out some of the usual suspects like Destiny 2 and Warframe, but I'm wondering if there are any hidden gems out there that have really solid clan systems. Games where you can actually do meaningful activities together as a clan, not just queue up for matches.

What are your top picks for the best multiplayer games for clans in 2025? Bonus points if the game has good clan management tools built in.

For the best multiplayer games for clans, I'd definitely recommend checking out some of the newer MMOs that have really refined their clan systems. Games like New World have surprisingly good clan support with territory control, shared housing, and meaningful group content that requires actual coordination.

But if you're looking for something outside the MMO space, I've been really impressed with Helldivers 2. It's got excellent clan support with shared progression, clan-specific missions, and it's designed from the ground up for group play. The community is super active too, which makes finding active clan communities 2025 much easier.

Another one worth mentioning is Deep Rock Galactic. While it's not a traditional clan game, the community is incredibly welcoming and the game mechanics naturally encourage teamwork. There are tons of active gaming clans 2025 playing it regularly.

If you're looking for the best clan-focused online games with good competitive scenes, you should check out The Finals. It's got excellent clan support built right in, and the competitive scene is growing really fast. There are already regular clan tournaments and the game mechanics work perfectly for organized team play.

For something more established, Apex Legends still has one of the best clan systems in the battle royale genre. The clan progression is meaningful, and there are tons of active clan recruitment platforms where you can find teams. The ranked system also rewards playing with your clan, which is nice.

I'd also keep an eye on XDefiant when it fully launches. From what I've seen in the betas, it's going to be one of the top clan recruitment games 2025 for shooter fans.

From a tournament organizer's perspective, the best games for clan building right now are definitely the ones with built-in competitive support. Games like Valorant have amazing clan tournament scenes with regular official tournaments and great third-party support.

But if you want something with really deep clan systems, you should look at games with clan progression that actually matters. Destiny 2 has one of the best clan progression systems I've seen - you work together to unlock rewards, there are clan-specific activities, and the game actually incentivizes playing with your clan members.

For something different, Foxhole is incredible for large clans. It's a massive persistent war game where clans can control entire sectors of the map. If you have 50 active members, you could actually run your own logistics operation or front line battalion. It's one of the best games for clan activities I've ever seen.

As someone who's been looking for friendly clans, I can tell you that the best games for finding gaming clans aren't always the most competitive ones. Games like Final Fantasy XIV have incredibly welcoming communities and the Free Company (their version of clans) system is really well implemented.

The housing system in FFXIV is amazing for clan activities - you get a shared house that you can decorate together, there are clan workshops, and regular social events. It's probably the best example of games with thriving clan systems for casual players.

Another great option is Guild Wars 2. The guild system is super flexible - you can be in multiple guilds at once, which is perfect for finding different groups for different activities. The community is known for being helpful, and there are always active clan gaming communities looking for new members.

Analyzing clan systems across different games, I've found that the best multiplayer games for clans share a few key features. First, they have meaningful shared progression - not just individual rewards with a clan tag. Games like Warframe do this really well with their Dojo system where the entire clan works together to build and upgrade a shared space.

Second, they have clan-specific content that requires coordination. This could be raids, clan wars, or special missions that are designed for organized groups. Games with clan support that's just matchmaking with friends miss the point entirely.

Third, good clan management tools are essential. The ability to set ranks, permissions, schedule events, and track member activity makes running a clan so much easier. Too many games with clan features neglect the administrative side of things.

Based on these criteria, I'd say Destiny 2, Warframe, and Final Fantasy XIV currently have the best implementations of online games with clan systems.
