What are the best entertainment events this year that are actually worth attending?

I'm trying to plan my calendar for the rest of the year and I'm overwhelmed by all the options. There are so many entertainment events this year being advertised, but I want to know which ones are actually worth the time and money. I'm looking for events that have great production value, good crowds, and memorable experiences.

I'm open to all types - music festivals, film festivals, gaming conventions, cultural events, you name it. What entertainment events this year have you been to or are planning to attend that you'd recommend? I'd love to hear about both big mainstream events and hidden gems.

Honestly some of the best entertainment events this year have been the smaller regional festivals. I went to this indie music and arts festival in the mountains last month and it was incredible. The production was professional but it still felt intimate, and the crowd was really engaged. Way better than some of the overcrowded commercial events I've been to.

I've been focusing on film festivals this year and I have to say, some of the smaller regional ones have been amazing. There's one in the Midwest that combines film with local food and music that creates this really unique experience. The entertainment events this year that stand out to me are the ones that create a complete atmosphere rather than just being a series of screenings or performances.

For me the entertainment events this year that have been most worth it are the ones with strong community vibes. There's a cultural festival in my city that happens every summer and it's not just about watching performances - there are workshops, food demonstrations, and chances to actually participate. Those kinds of entertainment events this year feel more meaningful than just being a spectator.

I've been exploring more virtual conventions and honestly some of them have been fantastic entertainment events this year. There's one digital arts festival that uses VR spaces in really creative ways. You get to explore virtual galleries and attend talks from artists around the world without leaving home. For people who can't travel or have limited budgets, these entertainment events this year are game changers.

As someone who goes to a lot of film festivals, I think the entertainment events this year that combine multiple art forms are the most interesting. There's a festival that pairs films with live musical scores and food experiences that match the movie themes. Those kinds of entertainment events this year create memories that last way longer than just seeing a movie in a theater.
