What are effective racial justice community actions I can join?
#1
I want to get more involved in racial justice community actions but I'm not sure where to start or what's actually effective. I've seen protests and marches, but I'm wondering about more sustained, day to day actions that make a real difference in communities.

What types of racial justice community actions have you found most impactful? I'm interested in everything from educational initiatives to policy advocacy to direct community support. I live in a medium sized city with diverse neighborhoods but also significant racial disparities.

I'm also curious about how to avoid performative activism. I want to contribute meaningfully, not just show up for photo ops. How do you find organizations or initiatives that are actually led by and serving the communities they're meant to help?

If you're involved in racial justice work, what does your involvement look like on a practical level? And how did you get started? I'm willing to put in time and effort, but I want to make sure I'm channeling that energy in the right direction.
