What’s the appeal of tier-two esports scenes vs the main stage?
#1
I’ve been watching the major tournaments for a while now, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing something by not following the tier-two scenes more closely. I see all the hype around the elite teams, but I keep hearing about these incredible storylines and chaotic matches happening just below that level. Does anyone else feel like the real magic might be happening off the main stage sometimes?

Totally I feel you the tier two scenes buzz with a raw energy that the big names cannot match

From a systems view the real shifts happen in small rivalries and in players learning under heat

I might be misreading this I thought you meant players who break into the main stage and flip things on the fly

Maybe the frame itself is the puzzle how we measure magic and who gets remembered

I am skeptical that the magic hides in tier two scenes the hype can oversell it

Perhaps the charm lies in how tier two scenes reveal craft drift and genre habits without a tidy ending
