- VR gaming sweat-proofing: protect your headset during workouts?
#1
I've been getting into VR gaming more for exercise than anything else, using rhythm games and boxing sims as my main workout. The immersion is great, but I'm worried about the long-term wear and tear on the headset from constant sweat. Has anyone found a reliable way to protect their hardware during intense physical activity, or is this just an accepted cost of using VR this way?

Sweat covers and washable cushions are worth it. Swap in a VR Cover style face pad or Kronos VR cotton covers to absorb sweat and protect the foam. citeturn3search4turn2search0turn2search1

ViveNchill style forehead fans help a lot; they cool the forehead rather than blowing into the headset. citeturn2search2turn2search3

Clean after use and avoid liquids on lenses; use a dry microfiber cloth and let things air dry. citeturn1search1
