The new sci-fi epic: breathtaking visuals, but pacing undermines the finale.

I just saw the new sci-fi epic that's been getting a lot of buzz, and I'm left with very mixed feelings. The visual effects and world-building were undeniably stunning, but I found the third act's pacing to completely unravel and the character motivations became frustratingly opaque. I'm curious if others who've seen it felt the same way about the narrative shortcomings, or if the sheer spectacle was enough to carry the experience for you despite the plot holes.
