I'm feeling a bit burnt out on big-budget AAA games and am looking for some thoughtful indie game recommendations to dive into. I really enjoy narrative-driven experiences with unique mechanics, similar to games like Disco Elysium or Outer Wilds, but I'm open to any genre. My backlog is full of popular titles, so I'm hoping to discover some hidden gems that might have flown under the radar in the last year or two. For fellow indie enthusiasts, what are some of your absolute favorites that have stuck with you, and what specifically about their design or storytelling made them so memorable?
