I've been DCA'ing into Bitcoin and Ethereum for a couple of years, but I'm looking to develop more structured cryptocurrency investment strategies for a small portion of my portfolio to potentially increase returns, perhaps through altcoin research or yield farming. The sheer volatility and the constant emergence of new projects and narratives like DeFi and NFTs make it difficult to separate genuine innovation from hype, and I'm wary of making emotional, FOMO-driven decisions. For experienced crypto investors, how do you systematically research and evaluate new projects beyond just reading whitepapers?
