I just finished a six-month project restoring a vintage mechanical telephone exchange, turning it into a functional piece of interactive art for a local museum. The wiring was a nightmare, but seeing it light up and connect calls using 70-year-old relays was incredible. I'd love to see other niche restoration or preservation projects in this community showcase. What's the most technically complex or historically obscure thing you've brought back to life?
