I’ve been trying to get my home network setup to handle consistent 4K streaming across three TVs and a bunch of smart home devices, but I keep hitting a frustrating wall with my current mesh system. The main router is in my office, which is fine for my work laptop, but the signal degrades badly by the time it reaches the far side of the house, causing buffering on the living room TV. Been there with a 2,800 sq ft home and thick walls. I fixed similar drops by adding a wired backhaul: run Cat6 to a dedicated AP on the far side and keep a strong mesh unit nearby. The stable backbone made 4K streaming reliable. If wiring isn’t feasible, choose a mesh kit that supports wired backhaul or try powerline backhaul as a bridge.
