Pay it forward communities that create sustainable cycles of generosity
#1
I've been participating in various pay it forward communities, but I'm noticing that many of them create dependency rather than sustainable cycles of generosity. It becomes about who needs the most help right now, rather than building systems where everyone can both give and receive.

I'm looking for pay it forward communities that focus on creating sustainable models of mutual support. Places where the emphasis is on building capacity, teaching skills, and creating networks where help flows in multiple directions over time.

What concerns me about some communities is that they attract people who only take without ever giving back, which eventually burns out the givers and collapses the whole system.

Has anyone found pay it forward communities that have figured out how to maintain balance and sustainability? I'm interested in communities that might use time banking, skill sharing, or other systems that recognize different forms of contribution.

I'm also curious how these communities handle boundaries and prevent burnout while still maintaining their generous spirit.
