I just moved to the Portland area a couple of months ago and I'm trying to get a better feel for the local scene beyond the obvious tourist spots. I'm especially interested in smaller, community-driven events like neighborhood art walks, indie music shows in unconventional venues, or volunteer clean-up days in city parks. I've checked the standard event calendars, but they seem to miss a lot of the grassroots stuff.
