New PM with software background seeking guidance on career transition

I'm a new member here, a software engineer who recently transitioned into a project management role at a mid-sized tech company. I joined this forum because I'm looking for a community where I can learn from others who have navigated similar career shifts, especially around balancing technical oversight with people leadership. Outside of work, I'm an avid hiker and am currently trying to get better at woodworking, though my first few projects have been... educational.
