New member: backend Python dev exploring cloud and microservices migration.

I just joined this forum after lurking for a few weeks, and I figured I should introduce myself properly. I'm a software developer with about five years of experience, currently specializing in backend systems with Python, but I'm looking to branch out into cloud architecture and learn more about scalable infrastructure. Outside of work, I'm an avid hiker and a novice woodworker, which is a nice contrast to staring at a screen all day. I'm hoping to contribute to discussions here, learn from the community's collective experience, and maybe find some answers to the specific challenges I'm facing with migrating legacy systems to a microservices model.
