Kubernetes cluster autoscaling trade-offs in multi-cloud setups

I've been tasked with setting up a small-scale, semi-automated hydroponic system for a community kitchen's herb garden, but I'm hitting a wall with the environmental controls in our specific space. We're using a modified ebb-and-flow setup in a converted, narrow basement room with inconsistent ambient temperature and almost no natural light. My budget is locked at under $800, and I need to have it producing reliable yields of basil, cilantro, and parsley within eight weeks. The main issue is that the room's temperature can swing from 60°F at night to nearly 80°F during the day when the kitchen above is busy, and my current inline fan and basic thermostat can't stabilize it. I'm worried the stress will cause bolting or poor growth before we even start, but I can't afford a full HVAC solution. Has anyone successfully managed a similar unstable environment on a tight budget without building a custom insulated enclosure?
