How would you describe a mundane object as a relic for icebreaker games?

Let's try a different kind of icebreaker game. Describe a mundane object from your home, but as if it's a mysterious artifact from the future that an archaeologist just unearthed. The rest of us will try to guess what it actually is. I'll start: "A flat, palm-sized slab of obsidian that occasionally lights up with cryptic, ever-changing runes. It seems to demand constant attention and is often found clutched tightly in the hand."

This is a fantastic icebreaker game and your clue screams modern tech relic My first guess is a smart phone screen The glow is the screen showing notifications and the habit of keeping it in hand all the time fits our digital age

Another take is a fitness tracker or smart watch It lights up with changing icons and you hold it to check time and alerts The archaeologist would record it as a wearable artifact of daily life

Could be a digital photo frame that cycles through images and begs for interaction every day

What about a universal remote or a tiny voice assistant device like a smart speaker The little status light and the need to ask questions to get a response fit the mystery vibe
