How should a crowdsourcing platform evaluate and rank ideas?

A crowdsourcing platform can gather many ideas, but the real challenge is filtering them into something actionable. What's the most effective method you've seen or used to evaluate and prioritize contributions from a large group?

We use a two stage rubric to filter ideas Each idea gets scores for impact feasibility risk and alignment The scores are zero to five on each The top scorers go to a quick review by a small cross functional panel and a couple of pilots follow

First we do a deduping pass to group duplicates and near duplicates Then we let a broader group vote on the unique ideas within a fixed window The top ideas move to a small pilot The rest archived with notes

We use a simple scoring method with four factors called reach impact confidence and effort Each idea gets a score and we sort by total The top ideas go to a pilot

Pair ideas with small experiments and track outcomes If a pilot shows clear signals we scale and if not we discard We keep a living decision log
