How reliable are no-code API integration platforms for connecting different services
#1
I'm trying to automate workflows between different business tools, and I keep hearing about no-code API integration platforms like Zapier, Make (formerly Integromat), and n8n. The promise is that I can connect apps without writing any code, but I'm skeptical about how reliable these integrations actually are.

Here are the specific integrations I need:
- When a new customer signs up on my website, create a contact in my CRM and send a welcome email
- When inventory drops below a certain level, automatically reorder from suppliers
- Sync customer support tickets between different platforms
- Automatically generate invoices from order data

My concerns:
1. How reliable are these integrations? Do they break often?
2. What happens when APIs change (which they do frequently)?
3. Are there latency issues with data syncing?
4. How do they handle errors or failed connections?
5. What about data security when passing sensitive information between services?

I've tried Zapier for simple tasks, but I'm worried about scaling to more critical business processes. The last thing I want is for orders to get lost because an integration failed.

Has anyone used no-code API integration platforms for mission-critical business processes? How have they held up over time? Are there particular platforms that are more reliable than others?
