How long does it take to get used to EV regenerative braking?

Just got my EV and the one pedal driving feels weird. What's the EV regenerative braking learning curve like? How long did it take you to get comfortable with it, and any tips for making the adjustment easier? Also curious if people eventually prefer it over traditional braking.
