How long did your linear switch keyboard take to feel normal after the upgrade?

So I finally upgraded to a proper mechanical keyboard with linear switches, and honestly, I'm not sure I like it. My typing feels faster but I keep making way more errors than I did on my old mushy membrane board, especially during longer gaming sessions. I'm wondering if anyone else had this weird adjustment period where your new gear just feels *off* for a while.

Totally real. the mechanical keyboard upgrade can feel odd at first. your hands are mapping a new travel and timing and errors spike in long sessions.

Linear switches move fast and smooth and that speed can push you to press a bit early or too hard at first.

Maybe loosen the grip a touch and practice with a gentler rhythm to rebuild accuracy.

One angle is to focus on clean reps rather than speed for a while and see if the error rate drops.

It could be a habit shift you are fighting not a defect in the mechanical keyboard just yet.

A quick warm up before sessions on the mechanical keyboard might reset your brain map and cut down misses.

If you want a skeptical take consider that you may be chasing novelty and the real answer is to adjust your practice plan rather than buying a new mechanical keyboard.
