How do you practice mindfulness before bed to actually sleep better?
#1
My mind races at night and I have trouble falling asleep. I've heard that mindfulness before bed can help, but every time I try, I either get more awake or I start thinking about all the things I need to do tomorrow.

What are some effective mindfulness before bed practices that actually help you relax and fall asleep? I need something that doesn't require sitting up or focusing too hard - just something gentle that helps transition from busy day to restful sleep.

I've tried counting breaths but that just makes me more aware of my breathing. Are there other mindfulness techniques that work better for sleep? Maybe something with body scanning or visualization?
