How do you balance pushing yourself to be productive with needing rest?
#1
Lately I’ve been feeling this weird tension between wanting to push myself to be more productive and knowing I desperately need to rest. My brain says go but my body just wants to stop, and ignoring that deep need for proper downtime is starting to feel like a real problem. Has anyone else hit a wall where you just can’t ignore your own limits anymore?

I hear you. burnout is real and it nags you when the body wants rest and the mind keeps going. maybe you need a gentler plan that honors both.

From a planning angle it helps to map energy peaks and dips rather than chasing max output all day. if burnout is creeping in the move is to swap a late sprint for a shorter focused window.

I am skeptical that rest alone fixes burnout or that more willpower fixes the math. maybe the mismatch is between what you are asked to do and what you can sustain.

What if the frame assumes you must push through at all costs and misses that rest can be a productive choice in disguise when burnout is part of the signal?

In a draft I learned that quieter moments can carry as much weight as loud ones and maybe rest is the quiet scene that keeps the whole thing from burning out.

Your body is talking and burnout is a signal not a flaw. maybe try a small mercy day and see what it teaches.
