How do urban EV owners without home charging manage public charging and apps?
#1
I'm considering buying an electric vehicle, but I live in an apartment building without assigned parking, so I can't install a home charger. My daily commute is manageable, but I'm worried about the logistics of relying entirely on public electric vehicle charging stations. For urban EV owners without dedicated home charging, what has your experience been like? How do you plan your charging routine around errands and work, and are the apps for finding and paying for stations reliable? I'm also concerned about long-term battery health from frequent fast charging; is that a significant issue in your experience?
